Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have a high level of technical expertise and skill set, which you will use to plan, design, set up, modify, optimize and monitor manufacturing processes.
This position sits in Warren, MI and will report to the Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and analyze current manufacturing processes.
Create/modify work instructions, set up instructions, manufacturing sketches, route instructions, process plans.
Contribute to company / customer initiatives relating to process, product and organization.
Observe, maintain and improve current process throughput.
Establish and control the time standards of the process in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and additional processes that are within the facility.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assures product and process capability, confirming manufacturing processes to standards.
Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required and 5 years in a Manufacturing environment, having 10 years is desired.
Having extensive knowledge of customer specifications and Aerospace standards is preferred
NX-CAM / GibbsCAM experience is desired
AutoCAD experience is desired
Aerospace manufacturing experience desired, HRSA.
Prior CNC machining experience required
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Must be proficient in the use of all gauges and inspection methods
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Description

To maintain the serviceability and accuracy of all the factory plant, machine tools and equipment, in a Multi-Skilled capacity.

This position is based at our Newton Abbot, UK facility and will report to the Maintenance Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns
• Investigate faults and action repair work, with the aid of maintenance computer data systems where appropriate
• Strip, overhaul and repair all types of machine tools, plant and equipment
• Record all breakdowns with faults, parts used, actions and times
• Check and test M/C’s on completion of repair work or PM’s
• Effective liaison with production and hand over of work
• Install and commission machinery
• Manufacture parts in support of the maintenance and guarding of machinery
• Carry out various electrical fault finding, repair and installation tasks within personal capability:
o Connect and disconnect supplies for equipment and M/C moves, test circuits and components, e.g. solenoids, motors etc.
o Interpret wiring diagrams etc. plus carry out electrical preventative maintenance work, and be able to use various testing instruments
• Test and ensure all safety systems are working correctly
• Comply with maintenance PM system and to advise on changes to programme, frequency, scope of work etc.
• Overhaul equipment for spares
• Write basic programmes to test CNC m/c systems
• Assist with training of others assigned to the department

Job Description
The Cell Shift Leaders role is to lead all cell and shift activities within the value streams to ensure that production, sales, customer, and quality targets are all met to deliver customer demands and MBANA budgets. Lead and promote all continuous improvement activities & lean activities to ensure productivity targets and improvements are met.
The Cell Shift Leader will supervise and motivate cell team members, through effective communication & recognition referring to performance measures, such as ‘day by hour’ metrics. As well as identifying training needs for cell members through the Personal Development Plan (PDP) process. In the addition, the Cell Shift Leader will also ensure new starters are effectively inducted to the cell and will provide appropriate training support for all cell members in accordance with job requirements and PDP actions.
The Cell Shift Leader will also ensure 6s, Health Safety Environment (HSE) and fire regulations are maintained within the cell. This will involve carrying out inspections and taking corrective action as appropriate. As well as maintaining Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), updating time management records, conducting appraisals, and managing performance and disciplinary issues.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, motivate and supervise employees under their control.
• Deal with minor matters of misconduct and capability in accordance with relevant HR policies and procedures including investigation of misconduct or grievance issues.
• Manage attendance issues and ensure employees are appropriately supported through the attendance management process, this includes carrying out Return to Work (RTW) interviews and holding attendance review meetings.

Job Description
This position is based at our Newton Abbot, UK facility and will report to the Operations Manager. MB Aerospace Newton Abbot is split into a number of Group Value Streams each of which is required to deliver timely and cost effect delivery of production in order to meet customer demands and financial targets. This is undertaken by coordinating a diverse set of activities which must all integrate in order to achieve the required results. The role works across different shift patterns and is responsible to the relevant Operations Manager leading the activities of the cell to ensure that production targets are met and to improve cell performance. This role is responsible for proactive identification and implementation of Continuous Improvement opportunities within the Cell in order to maximise the utilisation of resources within cost, quality, and legislative constraints.
Required to lead cell teams across varying shift patterns and value streams. Act as designated Point of Contact when working outside of normal “Day Shift” hours. This position will be responsible for ensuring end to end production flow is maintained in accordance with plan. The position will actively promote CI improvements within the team. Identify and solve production problems arising. Maintain and analyse production records in order to identify issues arising and respond accordingly. The role will also lead, direct, and motivate team members, through effective communication, recognition, coaching, performance management and disciplinary action as appropriate.

• Receive components requiring inspection. Process components in accordance with the NDT data card – cleaning, degreasing, inspect using appropriate method.

Qualifications
• Maintain External recognised qualification in NDT complying with Level 2 requirement.(eg EN4179, or NAS 410) in both Magnetic Partical and Flourescent Penetrant inspection procedures (desirable).
• CPU stamp holder (desirable).
• 6 months practical experience of relevant NDT (desirable)
o 400 Hours FPI Minimum
o 530 Hours MPI Minimum TP Area
• Good eyesight (aided) and full colour vision essential – requirement for annual test.
• Regular (within 5 years) requirement to recertify by examination. Competence reassessed yearly.
